Superhood is seeking a talented Technical Development Intern to join our engineering team and help us build cutting-edge AI-powered features and scalable microservices to complement the existing live Superhood service. This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in modern software development and artificial intelligence implementation at an innovative tech startup.

About Superhood

Superhood is a social platform that builds value for complete local ecosystems of consumers, local businesses, and government organizations. As an early-stage startup based in Helsinki but operating remote-first, we're looking for passionate developers to help us build next-generation technology solutions using AI and modern software architecture.

What You'll Do

As our Technical Development Intern, you'll be at the forefront of our technology development. Depending on your interests, your tasks can include, for example:

- Implement practical AI solutions and/or integrate them into existing systems
- Develop and deploy microservices using modern frameworks and cloud technologies
- Build automatic image and video generation features using APIs
- Work with geolocation services using map APIs
- Work with space data and image recognition technologies
- Collaborate with the development team on architecture decisions and code reviews
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their potential applications

What We're Looking For

- Computer science, software engineering, or related field student
- Programming experience in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or similar
- Interest in AI/ML technologies and hands-on implementation experience (even at beginner level)
- Basic understanding of web services, APIs, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Self-starter attitude - you're comfortable learning new technologies and working independently
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to code quality
